Established over 30 years ago, ART ON THE COMMON in Harpenden is Hertfordshire’s premier outdoor art event. It takes place in a wonderful location on a tree lined section of Harpenden Common near the Town Centre. The two day Harpenden event, showcases the very best of Hertfordshire's art including a range of paintings, ceramics, fine art photography, sculpture, jewellery, glass and wood. All styles and genre are displayed, and with prices starting from £2 for handmade greeting cards there's sure to be something beautiful for everyone. And the event coincides with the Harpenden Summer Carnival on Saturday, making it a fun day out for all the family. We looking forward to seeing you there!

A Charitable Event raising money for Cancer Research UK
ART ON THE COMMON is a charitable event, organised in conjunction with Cancer Research UK. All proceeds from exhibitor pitch fees and a percentage sales commission on all art sold goes to Cancer Research UK. In 2024 we raised over £7k for Cancer Research, in addition to an incredible £17K raised by ART ON THE COMMON over the previous 3 years! Well done Harpenden, St Albans and all our surrounding areas!
