Established almost 50 years ago, ART ON THE COMMON in Harpenden is Hertfordshire’s premier outdoor art event. It takes place in a wonderful location on a tree lined section of Harpenden Common near the Town Centre. The two day Harpenden event, showcases the very best of Hertfordshire's art including a range of paintings, ceramics, fine art photography, pottery, jewellery, glass, fabric and wood. All styles and genre are displayed, and with prices starting from around £2 for handmade greeting cards there's sure to be something beautiful for everyone. Following the hugely popular introduction of music last year, you can enjoy live performances from Richard Hurford Trio & Guests, Magic Voices Choir, Finding Harmony, The ReVerbs, and the Harpenden Dance Group. And we've got lots of activities for all the family.... why not try your hand at creating a glass light-catcher or coaster at Laura's Fused Glass workshop, or have a go at Artscape's super-fun Splash! A fun day out for all the family.... we looking forward to seeing you there!

A Charitable Event raising money for Cancer Research UK
ART ON THE COMMON is a charitable event, organised in conjunction with Cancer Research UK. All proceeds from exhibitor pitch fees and a percentage sales commission on all art sold goes to Cancer Research UK. In the last 5 years ART ON THE COMMON has raised almost £30K for Cancer Research. Staggering!... Well Done and Thank You Harpenden, St Albans and all our surrounding areas!
